1. Sync all remaining data
- Place each sensor on its charger next to its iPad, open the Discovery App, and let the sync finish.
- Check that each sensor shows Sync completed and the Sync sensors task counts every sensor (for example 4/4).
- Wait for the blue Synced icon in the top-right corner of the app. That confirms the iPad has uploaded everything to the cloud.
- Check the last upload time for each subject in Discovery Hub if you want to be sure.
2. Log the subject out of each kit
- Take the sensor off the charger. It must stay connected to the iPad by Bluetooth.
- In the Discovery App, open Admin Settings and select Subject Logout.
- The app will not let you log out until all data is synced. When logout finishes, the app clears the sensor, puts it in Ship Mode and returns to the Scan Instruction for Coordinator screen. The subject moves to Inactive in Discovery Hub.
You can also start this from Discovery Hub with Unassign Kit on the subject’s page. The subject shows as Pending kit unassignment until the logout finishes on the iPad.
3. Check the sensors are in Ship Mode
A sensor that is off the charger and not in Ship Mode keeps recording in transit and arrives with a dead battery. In Admin Settings, each sensor should show Disconnected. If one does not, take it off the charger and select Ship Mode. Only use Reset Memory after every sensor shows Sync completed, because it deletes any data left on the sensor.
4. Pack each kit
- Put each iPad and its sensors back in the kit with the matching Kit ID.
- Include the wireless charger, cables and power adapter.
- Throw away consumables such as adhesives, cleaning wipes and gloves. They do not need to come back.
- Wrap fragile items (iPads, kit boxes) in bubble wrap, packing paper or similar material.
5. Send us the return form
Fill out the Discovery Kit Return Form and email it to your Sibel contact or support. It asks for:
- Program name
- Pickup address, and the days and times that suit you
- Pickup contact name, email and phone
- Each Kit ID, and which items are in each kit
Sites outside the US: please also send the size (length x width x height) and approximate weight of each box. We need them for the customs paperwork.
6. Wait for the label and paperwork
- We will email the shipping label and any customs documents, and book the pickup.
- Print the documents and attach them to the box as instructed. FedEx labels cover one box each, so multi-box returns get one label per box.
- Once the paperwork is issued, please don’t add or remove items. If the contents change, ask us to reissue the documents, or customs may send the shipment back.
- International returns: the exporter of record must be an organization in the country the kit ships from, usually your institution or CRO. Sibel Health is the importer of record. Your organization may need to confirm this with the carrier.
After the kits arrive
We check the Kit and sensor IDs against our records and confirm receipt. Tell us if you also need Discovery Hub access or sFTP credentials closed out at the end of the study.
Still need help? Submit a request or email support@sibelhealth.com. Include your Kit ID or device serial number. Do not include names, dates of birth, medical record numbers or other details that identify a person (protected health information, PHI).
