A sensor with no light while it is being worn is normal: it is collecting data. Blue means the sensor wants to connect to the Discovery App or has data waiting to download. Red needs your attention. Green relates to charging and Bluetooth.
Red LED
- Blinks every 1 second: poor skin contact during wear (ANNE Chest and ANNE Limb). Press gently on the sensor, adjust the placement, or replace the adhesive.
- Blinks every 3 seconds: low battery or low memory. Place the sensor on the charger next to the iPad so it can charge and sync.
- Solid red: sensor failure. Stop using the sensor and see What should I do if a sensor is lost or damaged?.
Green LED
- Blinks every 3 seconds: the sensor is on and able to connect by Bluetooth.
- Blinks for 1 second every 5 seconds: the sensor is charging.
- Slow pulse (3 seconds brighter, 3 seconds dimmer): the sensor is charging but the battery is still too low to use. Leave it on the charger until it starts blinking faster.
- Solid green on the charger: fully charged.
- Solid green while pairing: shows which sensor is being paired.
Blue LED
- Blinks every 1 second: either the sensor has turned on but has not yet connected to the Discovery App, or it is on the charger with data waiting to download.
- What to do: open the Discovery App on the study iPad and keep the sensor within 2 meters of it. Once the sensor connects and its data downloads, the blue light stops. Connecting before a wear session starts also makes sure the data is time-stamped correctly.
No light
- The sensor is off or in Ship Mode, or it is working normally and collecting data.
- LEDs can also be switched off in the Discovery App’s Admin Settings, so a dark sensor is not always off. Check the sensor’s status in the app.
- If a sensor on the charger shows no light, leave it there for up to 20 minutes, then check its status in the Discovery App.
I saw a white light on my ADAM sensor
ADAM sensors do not have a white LED. A pale or white-looking blink is almost always the blue LED, so follow the blue guidance above. If it keeps happening, record a short video and send it to us with the sensor ID.
